I got a hold of a Torque Droidz Drive a few weeks ago and I've been tinkering with it ever since. Tried its features, especially the camera since I live in a world of selfies, instagrams and tweets. It's fun to see a chronological documentation of what you're doing (eating, watching, - practically everything) and accompanied by photos. It's fun looking back and reading about your past whereabouts and I can't stop myself from getting amazed by how creative my shots were.
The quality of the photos from the 2 mp camera still does not replace that of a real camera but the advantage of using tablets is you get to upload it real quick at the chance of a free wi-fi Internet connection. Unless you're using one of those cameras with an Android OS, but that's a different review.
The Torque Droidz Drive is one of the most affordable 7 inch phablet (phone and tablet) available in the Metro. The specifications are fair enough but considering the very low prize of Php 3,999, then that's a great deal you should not let pass.
You can easily go social with TORQUE android Tablets! Whether for posting on Facebook or Instagram, tweeting in Twitter, or watching videos on YouTube, DROIDZ Tablet series is your most reliable portable companion.
Below are sample shots I got using the 2 mp camera of the TORQUE Droidz Drive:
As you can see, the resolution is acceptable enough if for posting only on social media accounts, but would not be that pretty when viewed on a larger screen. All I can say is that it meets my requirements of being able to capture images and easily upload them on my social media accounts afterwards.
The Torque Droidz Drive has a 7-inch capacitive touchsreen display, runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, has call and text features, and is powered by an AllWinner 1.2Ghz processor.
The tablet is traditionally slim making it comfortable to hold, and the unit that I used comes in a cool black and white color.
At the right side are the buttons and ports for power, earphone/headset, data, power, volume control, and microphone.
The left side does not have any buttons or ports, nor was the other sides of the phablet. The controls were all neatly locate at just the right side.
The front has the TORQUE branding on the lower part of the display.
and the Droidz Drive branding at the upper right corner of the front display.
The back has the camera and the speaker along with the TORQUE brand and an android symbol which has the "powered by Android" labeling underneath. Plus other symbols and I think the serial number posted on the sticker with a bar code.
I was pleased in using the TORQUE Droidz Drive for my basic requirements in browsing online and checking my email and social media accounts, but had a bit of a problem in posting or uploading photos on Facebook. It will seem to freeze when in the process of uploading a photo, and would take quite a long time before it returns to its normal operation. I'm talking about more than a minute of waiting time.
My colleague said it could be due to the lack of memory since the unit that was given to me had only the default specs. However, that was the only frustrating experience I got from the unit which is not a big deal considering how very affordable the TORQUE Droidz Drive is. Should I complain? Nah! It's tolerable enough for me.
