Epson Launches 2013 League of Champions Tour
Written By Wazzup Pilipinas on Huwebes, Agosto 15, 2013 | 7:30 PM
Epson recently launched a roadshow to promote their champion products, but also to educate the public about a critical projector specification that the public needs to know if they want to get the most out of their projectors.
Digital imaging technology leader Epson will hold its “2013 Epson League of Champions Tour” at various SM Cyberzones nationwide from August to October this year.
The roadshow will showcase Epson’s champion products that provide genuine value to customers, such as Epson’s 3LCD projectors (No.1 in the world for 12 consecutive years) and the best-selling L-Series genuine ink tank system printers, which helped Epson attain market value leadership in inkjet printers last year. The exhibit also highlights Epson’s partnership with Manchester United, an English professional football club that has won 19 titles in the Premier League.
“Aside from the products that are on display, customers can learn about a new and very important specification for projectors called Color Light Output or CLO for short,” said Epson Head of Marcom and PR Donna V. Ferro. “Especially now that we use media-rich content in projectors, the CLO, also called Color Brightness, is the critical information customers should ask about when buying a projector,” added Ferro.
Brightness in projectors is usually measured in ‘lumens’. Color Light Output is the measurement for Color Brightness while White Light Output is for White Brightness. Many projector manufacturers provide only one brightness number -- the white brightness measurement.
“The problem with this is that usually, a projector that has high white brightness may have low color brightness. In fact, the color brightness of that projector could be only 1/3 of the rated specification provided. When Color Brightness is low, colors can look dull and dark, skin tones can be reproduced poorly, and important details can be lost,” clarified Lyn Lizarondo, Epson’s Product Manager for Visual Instruments.
Considering that color is a crucial component almost every time a projector is used – for presentations, watching movies, and gaming – customers cannot afford to overlook the critical measurement that informs how vividly and realistically a projector can render colors.
“Epson projectors provide color light output and white light output that are the same. By visiting our booth, we can demonstrate to the public how to compare projector performance properly and make sure that the ‘lumens’ they look for in a projector corresponds to both color and white light output,” added Ferro.
The public can learn more about Color Brightness by going to Epson’s website (www.epson.com.ph) or by visiting the League of Champions Tour 2013 booth on the following dates:
