HP Envy X2: Looks Familiar?

Hewlett-Packard’s Envy x2 is a convertible hybrid PC that aims to fulfill both your laptop and tablet needs.
HP already released a clunkier version of this 5-7 years ago. Converted in a similar way and had a terrible stylus that got stuck in it’s holder. Hope this one is more stable than the original.

The Envy x2 is powered by a next-gen Intel Atom processor (Clover Trail) and has 2 GB of RAM, 64GB SSD onboard, has a smooth metallic finish and weighs at 1.41kg, it has an 11.6-inch screen having a native resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels, microSD card slot located on the tablet half while the keyboard dock
includes a full-size SD card slot, NFC support, 8-megapixel rear camera, while the front shooter is rated at 2 megapixels, speakers are cleverly concealed at the bottom edge of the tablet, and USB 2.0 ports and HDMI.

However, many are claiming it’s a design rip-off of the Macbook Pro. Do we feel a patent infringement lawsuit on the way? Is HP going to get sued for this as well? Another $1 Billion from HP to Apple?

This is also something similar to the Asus EEE  Transformer Pad where from laptop it becomes a tablet by detaching the monitor screen portion of the gadget….or you may want to hold buying this unit and wait for the soon to be released Samsung hybrids.
